About LindyTree Learning
Hi! My name is Lindy and I'm a higher education professional with a passion for helping students succeed. Throughout my career, I've worked with students for over 6 years between undergraduate and graduate programs. The majority of my career was spent in admissions helping students navigate the complexities of college applications. This has inspired me to create a blog specifically for post-grad and graduate students seeking additional help in their academic journey. Graduate school is a big (and expensive) decision. Applying is the first step and it can be difficult knowing where to start. My goal is to help students better understand their admissions process along with providing tips to make your application stand out.

I first started my career as a student tour guide for my alma mater's undergraduate admissions office. I loved meeting new students who were excited about continuing their education. Within the same office, I took an additional job as an Admissions Assistant where I began working directly with Admission Counselors, Financial Aid, and other administrative offices. This job ignited a passion within me in helping students and their families navigate their first college admissions experience.

After college, I began working for an education technology company that assisted graduate programs across schools in the southeast region of the U.S. This inspired my interest in adult learning and graduate admissions processes among different schools. Soon after, I joined a non-profit mentorship program that assisted in pairing high-school aged girls with women in the field of their interest. I began a graduate certificate program through Angelo State University in Academic Advising and Student Affairs where I learned all about the higher education ecosystem outside of the admissions realm. My love for education has only continued to grow since then.

More recently, I worked directly for a Graduate admissions office where I processed, reviewed, and evaluated applications for various programs that expanded from liberal arts to public health. I now work as a higher education leader for a large university in the northeast. I have been able to present ideas in improving student experiences and implementing new technologies to aid in the admissions process. I currently document my experiences in mini vlogs on Instagram and Tik Tok if you want to follow along!
